Western Growers (WG) has partnered with S2G Ventures to launch AgSharks™, a new initiative geared toward identifying and advancing key innovations to further modernize the fresh produce industry. AgSharks will give select AgTech entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of investors – the AgSharks – who will decide on the spot whether and how much to invest. The entrepreneurs must then decide whether they want to strike a deal or whether the investment comes at too a high a price.

The AgSharks showcase event will take place during the Western Growers 92nd Annual Meeting in Las Vegas on October 31, 2017. Successful entrants will receive international recognition, mentoring from S2G and WG and may compete for equity investments totaling up to $250,000 to support the development and growth of their businesses. Additionally, all participating companies will receive advice during the session on S2G and Western Growers views of the market, and the ability to scale their business.
